Wales West RV Resort & Light Railway

WALES WEST is the name of a popular RV resort, campground and railroad theme park located in Silverhill, Alabama.

Customer reviews tend to be positive. Survey results compiled by Trailer Life magazine reflect a customer satisfaction rate of 9.5 out of 10 for Wales West.

The park attracts RV travelers in search of mild winters and a central point from which to explore the Gulf Coast.

The notion that "All Are Welcome" is not simply a slogan. It is our Policy.

The park's name (and inspiration) derives from the narrow gauge railways that still serve remote areas of Wales in Great Britain. On those "light railways", the locomotives and cars are smaller, and they run on a "narrow gauge" — the distance between the tracks is 2 feet instead of 4 ft. 8½ inches for a standard railroad.

At various times throughout the year Wales West plays host to special events. It has been a longstanding venue for live bluegrass music.

Spaces will accommodate any size RVs. Amenities are extensive and include heated pool, all hook-ups.
