"Our Favorite Campground on the Lake!!"

We've stayed at Big Bear for several years - it's one of our favorite campgrounds in the U.P. Management is the friendliest anywhere - the grounds are cleaned regularly - restrooms/showers are THE BEST - clientele is generally quiet and friendly. Ice, firewood, and kindling are all available for reasonable prices. The lake right across the road. Big Bear is a truly wonderful place to camp!

"Very Nice!"

First stay at this campground and we really enjoyed it. Very close proximity to the Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Park. Sites are roomy and the campground is quiet.

"One of our Favorite Campgrounds!"

This was our second stay at Union Bay "Big Bear" Campground; we stayed here last year and decided to return in 2020 for the Fall colors. The campground is very clean, well maintained and quiet. Pet friendly. And having Lake Superior across the road is a plus. Beautiful sunsets. We are already planning our trip for next year.
