Jul 05 , 2018"Bad Experience"
Camped here for 3 years and the first 2 were great until Zeman took over ownership. The rules only apply to you if you're not 'in' with the management. The rates went up $500 for seasonals with the promise of a pool being open at the beginning of June which is still not complete in July. The snack shop that was put in because the bar/restaurant closed was only open 2 times last year and the arcade they touted has mostly broken machines. The roads do not get graded like they should. If you camp in the back of the park it floods to the point you can't camp and the roads get even worse when it dries out. They promised new seasonal campers perks for signing up that to my knowledge they haven't even recieved yet, 3 months into the season. If you disagree or try to raise issues with management, you just get blocked and kicked out of the campground, rather than them trying to make things better for everyone. It's very much a fall in line or get out situation. Most of the bad reviews on their Facebook page get deleted and people blocked instead of getting responses and one of the 5 star reviews is from the current manager. It's bad business to ignore issues. We've gone down the street to Holiday Acres where the pool is open, the managers care about people, the sites are bigger and nicer, the trees provide shade and the drama is minimal. This is what a campground should be.
