Located just 1 mile from the new Harrah's Cherokee Valley River Casino & Hotel, the beauty and solitude of the Great Smoky Mountains make this KOA an ideal spot to settle in and relax for a while. Enjoy shaded RV Sites and Tent Sites along the Valley River, as well as four Deluxe Cabins. At the campground, guests can wade into the water to cast their lines for trout in the stocked river or rent a tube and go on a lazy river float. Take a dip in the pool, try your skills in the game room, pitch horseshoes or play volleyball. Your pets can romp in the 1-acre fenced pet play area. The pavilion is great for groups and family reunions. You're just a short drive from exciting whitewater rafting on the Ocoee River (Class III and IV rapids) or the mild, family-friendly Nantahala River. Take a scenic ride to Deals Gap or over the Cherahola Skyway. Be sure to visit Fields of the Wood Bible Park or join a class at the famous John C. Campbell Folk School. Pool: Memorial Weekend - Labor Day Weekend. Max pull thru: 65 feet. Your host: Matt Walters.
