Miles City KOA is located near the Tongue River and Yellowstone River, close to the site of Fort Keogh. Camp among 50 mature cottonwoods in an area where the Sioux, Cheyenne and Crow once lived. You will be welcomed to this high desert elevation of about 2,500 feet. Within walking distance, you'll find the Range Riders Museum, historic downtown fairgrounds and the ball fields. Check out the buildings listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Among them, see the Olive Hotel, where "Gus" drew his last breath in the miniseries Lonesome Dove.
