We were there a year ago and it was as nice as it is advertised. It was our first experience in New Orleans which was on our list of places to visit but not on our repeat list. The park is a bit tricky to get to by GPS directions and very tight corners if you are a big rig and towing but with careful maneuvering and a few missed turns we made it. The staff is extremely helpful and they give you info and directions for where you want to visit. However you are near a tent city and a sketchy walk into the hub of NO so don?t walk after dark. We felt perfectly safe in the enclosure and it is gated with a code. I recommend this RV stay but you pay for being in the city. Be prepared to be approached by people asking for money in the city. The staff will help you choose bus tours that I highly recommend as you get to see all the hot spots. If you want the best Muffaletta (it?s grilled) and the Best Bread Pudding EVER try Mulates. They also have Cajun Dancing.
