Chattahoochee Bend State Park

Located southwest of Atlanta, this beautiful park is tucked away right next to the graceful waters of the Chattahoochee River. With it being 2,910 acres, this park offers a good variety of hiking trails and uniquely styled campgrounds. As for the campgrounds, one can choose to stay in our cozy RV camping spots. Those each entail one fire ring, one picnic table, water and a 50 amp hook-up. A comfort station is located in the center of the campground. While camping, if one desires a hot or cold shower, we've got you covered. A disposal station is also provided at the front of the campground. The cost is $26 dollars per night. In addition to our RV campground, we have drive-up tent sites and walk-in tent sites. The list just keeps on going...we also have an Adirondack campground, which consists of four group shelters (screened in), a centralized common area with grills, picnic tables and a fire ring. Now, our two platform tent sites are simply spectacular. Both are located right alongside the river bank. The West Platform Site does provide two restrooms. As for our other platform site, it is either a 5.5 mile hike in and out or kayak/canoe accessible. Let me tell you, these two platform sites seem like they have come out of a fairy tale book. They are secluded and covered with vibrant green trees and grass (shaded). If a peaceful place is what you are looking for, you found it.
