Blue Heron Campground

Blue Heron Campground is located in Gothenburg, Nebraska, just a block and a half south of Interstate 80 (exit 211). Surround yourself with nature in a cabin, RV or tent site at this beautiful campground on the banks of the Platte River. You might even spot deer, rabbits or beaver! The park is open for your Summer vacation from April 1st through October 31st.

Bring the whole family and enjoy your stay at the Blue Heron Campground in any of the 3 cabins, 9 tent sites or 40 RV sites. Many of the sites have ample shade provided by the many Cottonwood trees scattered throughout the park.

Don't forget to pack your golf clubs, hiking shoes and swim wear! Guests will enjoy easy access to the Oregon, Mormon and Pony Express Trails and the highly rated Wild Horse Golf Course in Gothenburg. For the history buff, attractions abound, including the Golden Spike Visitor Center, the Buffalo Bill State Historical Center in North Platte. There's also the Platte River Road Archway Monument in Kearney; full of Nebraska's rich pioneer history. We have a pool, volleyball court, and our own hiking trail on site and fishing in the river for those who would rather spend the day at the park.

Gas up your car and pick up supplies for a steaming hot cup of British tea and biscuits at the British Good store conveniently located at the park.
