Where to begin
Cindy:
Every story has a beginning but for me the seed was planted by my grandparents who introduced me to the joy of camping in an RV for most of my early childhood summers. I have great memories of running through the woods, smelling the pines, and meeting new friends around evening campfires. I have spent my life moving across the country and enjoying all of the different places I have called home but knowing that there were so many other places I wanted to see. In 2010 I was blessed to marry Jim and have a partner to share all of my adventures with.
Our journey began at my 40th Bday party in 2013. We had discussed buying an SUV and I found one that fit our criteria in WV. The only problem is we lived in Oviedo, FL but when I asked Jim how he felt about a road trip he jumped on the idea. The next morning we got up and called the dealership, packed for the two days it would require to go up and back, packed up the two dogs, and hit the road. The SUV was amazing and we closed the deal. On the drive up the weather came across with a late snow storm due to hit the area that night. We decided to find a cabin and enjoy the weekend in the snow. That weekend led to us driving 7 hrs up the road to visit Jims family, then we decided that Jim had never seen the Rockies so we drove to Denver and slept on the side of a mountain, then we ended up driving to Las Vegas. Since we had come this far we went on to California so that my grandmother could meet Jim. We enjoyed a few days in the mountains and then started home. Our trip to WV led us over 6600 miles in two weeks and planted the seed for buying an RV.
Road trip in our new SUV
Jim:
Unlike Cindy, I hadn't traveled much growing up except a 5 year stint in Arizona when I was 6 years old. I always knew there was so much country to see in the Land of the Free, so an RV was a great way to see it. I had no idea that an SUV purchase would lead to this. Our cross country road trip out west was a teaser, I knew I would be back to explore more of it. Having an adventurous wife, there wasn't any problems convincing her to head out.
