The Top Reasons to Buy an RV This Year
If you talk to anyone who has experience with RVs and the RV lifestyle, they will be able to give you a million reasons why you should buy an RV and hit the road. Those of us who have spent countless hours behind the wheel driving to far off locations in search of the fun and freedom this pursuit provides are always eager to encourage others to follow suit. Highway life certainly isn’t for everyone but for those it does appeal to, there is absolutely no substitute and no going back once you start down the path, I mean road.

If you are simply starting to entertain the idea of joining the club and exploring what it takes to pursue the RV lifestyle in any capacity, you have come to the right place. MobileRVing is a great resource for all of your RV needs from where to camp to useful tips and tricks to help you along each step of the way. The first step towards any new activity is educating yourself as much as possible. Since RVing takes some initial capital and upfront commitment to get started, people who are interested often like to hear from others who have already jumped in completely. To help convince you that an RV can provide endless amounts of potential and excitement, here are some of the top reasons to buy and RV and get out on the open road this year.

RVing is Fun

First and foremost, hoping in an RV and hitting the road is really fun. Like, memories that will last for a lifetime fun. If you have ever been on a road trip of any variety and enjoyed it, there is a decent chance that you will eat up every inch of RVing. It is like a road trip on steroids. Or maybe a road trip that involves homecooked dinners and all of the amenities of a home. That’s basically what you are doing when RVing, taking an entire home out on a road trip. There really isn’t much that compares. You can drive to a destination and simply park your rig and enjoy everything you already have on board.

The joy of RVing also comes from the freedom it allows. You can set out towards a destination and are certain to encounter elements along the way that will further increase your fun. I’m sure you’ve heard the old adage that traveling is more about the journey than the final destination. I would certainly concur with that statement and have made so many memories that have stuck with me over the years with all of my many RV travels. The experience in and of itself provides tremendous amounts of joy and fun but the random memories and chance encounters that occur along the way only further this.

RVing Is an Escape from the Rat Race

Have you ever sat at your office desk just dreaming of way to go experience life in a different fashion? Have you ever been stuck in traffic, wishing you didn’t have to commute and waste hours of your life in car? If you have ever experienced either of these situations, the RV life can provide an easy answer. While you still might spend many hours in a moving vehicle, the vehicle will be headed to a destination of your choosing and merely a means of transportation to some dead end job. If you want an easy option to escape the rat race, then you should really look into buying an RV.

Even if you can only escape from your day to day for a few weeks a year, it is always more than worth it. If you purchase an RV, you will basically have a vacation sitting in your driveway. Whenever you have the time, you can pack up and head out. Even if you just take it out for a quick weekend while you still hold onto your job, the freedom and relief an RV trip offers makes it well worth it. You can look at RVing as a form of stress relief or therapy. By purchasing one or simply renting one for a trip, you can have a taste of this freedom and make an investment in yourself that is sure to pay off.

RVs Are Not as Expensive as You Think They Are

Yes, there are million-dollar RVs on the road that have all of the bells and whistles and are truly luxury motor homes. But there are many other options that are far more affordable and great entry level options if you are just starting to entertain the idea of giving the lifestyle a chance. You can find a good used RV oftentimes in the $10k-$20k range. While that is still a substantial initial investment for a lot of us, it is very doable and you can purchase a reliable motor home for this amount.

If you are going to buy a used RV, you should always get it check out by a mechanic before purchasing. You obviously need an RV that is in good working condition if you want to take it out on long road trips. Long road trips means that there will be stretches of time when you are far away from the nearest town or mechanic. Breakdowns can be difficult to deal with in such a large vehicle so it pays to make sure your rig is in good working condition before taking it out on the road.

Everyone Loves RVing

This might sound like a bold statement, but I literally have never met anyone who dislikes RVing once they have given it a chance. It might sound terrible to some but those who have the pull should really give it a try. Once you step into one and go on your first road trip, I’d wager that you will be hooked. There is no better time to try out RVing than today so if you are on the fence, get out on the road and go for it!
