The Pacific Northwest

If you have been to the Pacific Northwest, then you will know what we are talking about: when we tell you how lush, green, and wet it can be, but very inviting, with it’s wondrous views, thick forests, and of course the friendly people are here, (not to take away from all the friendly people in other parts of this lovely state, and all the other states in our Beautiful Country!).
Our first stop was in a small Marina town, off of one of Washington’s inlets. Gig Harbor is one of those best little kept secrets, in that it has all the small charm of a small town in its old town area, which surrounds the Marina. With all of the best little eateries, specialty shops, including woman’s wear, coastal wear, and beach town home decorations, and even a knitting store with all the best colors that I just had to get to make another blanket for our new granddaughter!
Flower shops, jewelry stores, and several coffee shops, and Ice Cream too. The newer part of town is well hidden, and displayed at the same time in their lush big pines. And there is only 1 RV Park in this town, Gig Harbor RV Resort!
Gig Harbor RV Resort is run by a lovely couple, and their daughter, for the past 3 years. They have upgraded all of the electrical stands to take care of all your big rigs with 50amp. Their recreation room is next to the laundry room, with plenty of outlets, so while I got some of our laundry done, I was able to hook-up to the outlets with my computer, at one of their desks, to get some work done, like one of these blogs off to you! They have 132 sites, with several of them rented out to seasonal workers in the area, but it works out that most of these seasonal workers are in the winter time, so summer is open to the vacationers, and drop ins all the time.
If you are looking for lots of grassy area, you’ll only find that in their small tent area, most all the roads, including your site area, are covered in rock, large rocks so be prepared to bring your outdoor rug out to have an easy way to walk around, or sit around your entrance area. But also be prepared to be surrounded, by some of those lush big pine trees, I spoke of earlier. They have really tried to build the Resort around the trees, and the hills around them. Did I tell you they have great little Restaurants too!!
