Taking the Back Roads

Have you seen the desert flowers in the spring, or the small lilies peak out of the first melting snow, or the Eagle soaring above the Glaciers? Or have you stopped at the lonliest looking little tavern, and eaten the best cooking in a long time?
We have, and usually it’s been on a backroad somewhere. If your pulling a 40 foot fifth wheel like we are, then you do need to choose your roads carefully, but there are so many great 2 lane roads in our great Nation that you have to take a few to see it’s hidden beauty, and greatness!
We both would rather take a backroad, when we can, to an open freeway or byway. Meeting your neighbor in an RV Park is one way to find out about these back roads, and especially about a little unknown Diner, or attraction, but you can always check out your Campgrounds Area Guide, and you will be promised a great place to go – see – check out! These are the backbone of our Country, the small town mom & pop stores. Please take the time to see them, and let them know the Boons sent you!!
