Spoil Mom- RV Style
Mother’s Day is the time to spoil the one woman who has always been there for you. From birth, your Mom has been right by your side: loving you; cooking for you; cleaning for you; and shuttling you around everywhere you needed to go. She is a true hero to all who know her and a blessing to have in your life. Okay, okay…enough about me and my children. Hahaha! Seriously, it is time to give back to the lady that gives. So, how can you spoil that amazing Mom of yours? Here are some awesome ideas that any Mother would love to celebrate her special day.

Spring Skiing
If your mother enjoys skiing take here to the mountains and hit the slopes. This year in California there have been several spring snow storms. It is the perfect time to head up to mountains and get in one last good ski. Mammoth, California has snow well into spring and offers some great camping spots. We really enjoy staying at The Mammoth Mountain RV Park which has laundry facilities and an indoor swimming pool. There are also plenty of great restaurants if you want to enjoy Sunday brunch or a fantastic dinner on the lake Saturday night.

Fishing, Fancy, & Free
My Mother always loved to pack up the family and head out to the lake to fish. If your Mom is anything like mine, you can make an entire weekend of it. Load up the RV and pick-up the fishing licenses. Take the time to show Mom your gratitude by making her a homemade Sunday brunch and then taking her out on the lake to catch some trout. Fishing during the day and pampering Mom with a pedicure in the evening. Find a great spot where the fish are biting and the nearest town has a spa that will treat Mom like a queen. Many campgrounds offer Mother’s Day themed events like Mother/Daughter relay races and family cookouts in honor of Mom. Do a little homework to find the type of event that you know will make her smile.

Beach Sunday-Fun Day
When it comes to rest and relaxation there is nothing like having a good old Mother’s Day camp-out weekend at the beach. This time of year the beach is usually gorgeous, but not too over crowded. If spending her morning walking along the sand and her afternoon shopping in cute little beach shops is your Mom’s thing, then arrange your beach camp-out early to secure a good spot. Take the time to plan a surprise Saturday night barbeque and bonfire in her honor. Be sure to make a great music playlist and practice your dance moves to Mom’s favorite tunes to get the party going. There is nothing I love more, as a Mom, than spending time with my family and smelling that fresh ocean air. Beach towns are known to have great events on the weekends that are bound to make her Mother’s Day a memorable one.

Mother’s Day is a day to celebrate and enjoy the company of all the wonderful women in your life. Take your celebration to the next level and make it a weekend camp-out event. You can customize your weekend to include all the things your Mom loves and enjoys. Let this great event become a tradition for your family. You can make it just as special as your Mom is and remember one thing…coming next month…in June…it is Father’s Day. Which means you should have started planning Dad’s RV trip to NASCAR about six months ago. Happy trails!
