Breathe easier.
If you have a stuffy head due to climate change, sinus issues, allergies, or a cold, infusing the air with some breathe friendly scents can really help open your head.
Protect your tissues.
Increase the pressure – of your water, that is.
Keep your TP dry.
Get an empty CD container; you know the kind with the spindle and plastic cover. Slide the roll of toilet paper over the spindle and keep the cover on when it is damp. It also works great to keep your toilet paper from sliding around. I put some non-skid tabs on the bottom so it stays put. It works like a charm.
Double your closet space.
I don’t have a lot of clothes, but I don’t have an abundance of closet space either. This hack serves two purposes for me. I like to have an organized closet with my tops hanging with my skirts. That way I can grab and go without having to take time to match.
I take a hanger and a pull tab from a canned soda, slide the tab over the hanger and hang another hanger on the second hole. This way I can hang my skirts and tops together while saving valuable closet space.
This is just a taste; I have a lot more. Organization is sorta my thing so next time I’ll be talking about RV Hacks for organization. I know you can’t wait to read it.

So here we are, this is part two of the homier home part of my RV Hacks series. I love the RV full time experience – no furniture to buy, no arranging – everything is all set. I believe they call that “move in ready.” However, they are still fabricated so there isn’t much to personalize or tweak to make them, well, homier. So here are some more of my favorite RV hacks for a homier home.
Breathe easier.
If you have a stuffy head due to climate change, sinus issues, allergies, or a cold, infusing the air with some breathe friendly scents can really help open your head.
I like to slice a lemon, with the peel, and put it in my tiny crock pot along with just enough water to cover. Then I add a few drops of eucalyptus essential oil. You can add as much or as little as you like. It works very well to open your head as well as make the place smell awesome.
Protect your tissues.
If you’ve ever tried to keep a tissue box in a vehicle you know how well that works out. I picked up one of those cheap plastic containers, cut out an opening in the bottom, and put the box inside with the lid closed. It makes a nice hard, protective tissue case. When we were doing a little urban camping in our van I did this to protect my tissues and it worked great. No more mangled boxes or ruined tissues.
Increase the pressure – of your water, that is.
When it comes to water pressure, the majority of RV shower heads just don’t cut it. If you have good water pressure, it’s too much and you are out of hot water before you are finished with your shower. If you don’t, then all you get is a sad little trickle with no pressure behind it. Who can get clean like that?
The Oxygenics shower head mixes oxygen into the water to provide great pressure without too much water use. You get to save on hot water while getting a great shower with awesome water pressure.
Keep your TP dry.
OK, try as we might, RVs tend to be a little humid, particularly when it is humid or rainy outside. This is even more prevalent in the bathroom. Think small space, steamy showers, high humidity – it can really do a number on your toilet paper. You can keep your TP high and dry though.
