RV Christmas Decorating Ideas

If you’ll be spending time in your RV this Christmas season, you probably want to add a bit of cheer to your tiny home-on-wheels. Unfortunately, doing this is a little bit difficult due to space limitations. Therefore, you might have to get a little bit creative during your Christmas decoration session this year.
Fortunately, there are plenty of ways to give your RV that holiday feel we all know and love. If you’re having trouble coming up with ways to do this on your own, you might try one of the ideas below.
Deck the Walls
Limited floor space doesn’t have to translate to limited space everywhere. For instance, most RVs have plenty of wide-open wall space just waiting to host some holiday decor. Wreaths are the perfect thing to hang on an empty wall. Advent calendars and felt Christmas trees are also great additions, and are tons of fun for little ones.
Set the Table
Another great place to add a bit of fun is the table. A simple centerpiece can work wonders for a bland travel trailer or motorhome. Make your own by layering red and green foil-wrapped candies in a clear vase for lovely decor you can eat.
Don’t like that idea? Consider placing a small Christmas tree on the table instead.
Hang a Garland
Those who don’t have room for a Christmas tree—and even those who do have room but would like an extra flair—might like a nice garland to hang around their RV ceiling. By purchasing a garland with lights, you can give your tiny space a nice glow. If the garland will be taking the place of a tree, ornaments can be hung from the greenery in a nice, colorful display.
Change the Towels and Pillows
A set of holiday hand towels and a few Christmas throw pillows will give your RV some holiday flair with very little effort. Best of all, these items can be switched with your usual towels and pillows, meaning this decor doesn’t have to take up any extra space at all.
Head Outside
Of course, there’s no reason that all the decor has to stay indoors. Why not head outside with your holiday spirit? Light show projectors are a great way to decorate with very little effort. If you’re looking for something a bit more involved, consider decorating an outdoor tree with weather-resistant ornaments. Many people will also set up Christmas-themed inflatables and fun Christmas light sculptures.
These are five of the most RV-friendly decorating options. My family plans to use several of these, and I hope you will as well. Let me know about your Christmas decor ideas in the comments below.
