RV Bathroom Storage Tips and Tricks

There is no arguing the fact that RV bathrooms are tiny. Even the biggest ones are relatively small, and this can make storing all of your bathroom essentials pretty tricky.
Because we live in our RV full-time, my family runs into this issue more often than I would like. However, we have come across some tips that are incredibly helpful when it comes to bathroom storage. By making these little changes, you can worry less about bathroom storage and more about having fun during your RV adventures.
Over-the-Toilet Shelf
All too often, RVs waste the bit of space between the toilet and the wall behind it. You can take advantage of this space by installing an over-the-toilet shelf. This nifty shelf will provide you and your family a place to store extra toilet paper and towels without taking up precious cabinet space.
Over-the-Door Shoe Holder
This is one of the most amazing storage ideas out there! We all know how cumbersome it can be to store toiletries. The bottles are all different shapes and sizes, and all those little containers just love to come tumbling out of the cabinet when you open the door after a travel day. Additionally, the littlest items—like hair ties and razors—are a pain to keep track of.
By putting a clear, over-the-door shoe holder on the bathroom door in your RV, you can easily store all of your toiletry items in the individual shoe pockets. This keeps shampoo and conditioner bottles from tipping over during travel, and because it’s see-through, it’s easy to find whatever item you might be looking for.
Tension Rod Towel Rack
A while back, we took 5 of my younger siblings on a trip with us. While the trip was a ton of fun, it did require us to come up with some interesting ways to save space. One of those solutions came in the form of two tension rods.
You see, eight people swimming and showering each day results in a lot of wet towels. Because we weren’t at the RV all day, we didn't want to hang those towels outside, so we had to get creative.
We already had two extra tension rods sitting around, and we put those up behind the shower curtain in the bathtub. We used those extra rods as places to hang wet towels, which gave us a ton of extra hanging space. Since we didn't use the RV shower on this particular trip—opting instead for the campground shower house—it kept all those extra towels out of the way.
