Repairs & More Repairs, ugh...

So far we have wrote to you telling of all the positives of Traveling in an RV, and don’t get me wrong, we still LOVE the Lifestyle, however there is a side that is not too pleasant, but I always look at what could have happened, so what did happen, isn’t so bad!
Repairs, and upgrades...one can lead to another. So far we have upgraded to larger Tires on both the Truck and our Tow Vehicle, and countless repairs to our fifth wheel (these rigs are just not made to take the mileage we put one). Being on the road is your home on wheels, so keeping your home up is a never ending job, checking the tire pressure, making sure every nut and bolt is in place, are there cracks anywhere, etc. Lynn could tell you more about this, as he checks our rig all around every time we stop.
If you have ever owned, or even rented a home, then you know there are chores to do almost every weekend during your time off, We used to say all the time; “we wished we had 3 day weekends, cause it takes 1 day to get the shopping & errands done, 1 day to get all the chores around the house done, and 1 day to rest up for the entire next week of work”. Well keeping your rig in proper working order such as RV roof maintenance is, and can be a chore, but this also can be looked at, as I said earlier, a necessary chore, so you can stay on the road, and believe me, the best things in life are always just around the next bend!
When you see both sides of the Rockies, and both sides of the coasts, and all the beauties in between, and all the great people you meet, all the chores melt away!
