The love of travel has led many to become entrepreneurs. Remote jobs are everywhere, but they don’t always allow you the flexibility you want for your travels. Whether you’re retired and looking for extra income or someone who wants to leave the 9-5 job behind for RV life, you have the option to go the extra mile and become an entrepreneur. Some may laugh and call you crazy, but in this digital age, you can almost always find a market that’s not being fulfilled somewhere and make it your own. So what jobs can you create for yourself that allow you to live in your RV full time and still pay the bills?
Photographer or Filmographer
Photography has been booming. Social media has created a huge market for content, with photos and videos being the top content wanted by businesses and individuals. Whether you enjoy taking photos of landscapes or portraits of people, the industry continues to grow and open its doors to creatives who have their own style.
Photography and video can easily be self-taught through YouTube videos and online classes. You can check out the classes over at Skillshare to learn more about these topics from real photographers who make a living off of this skill alone.

Freelance Writer
Freelance writing is also growing. Sites like UpWork and Fiverr give writers more opportunities to hit the keyboard. It’s no longer just an author’s game to make money as a writer! You can easily send short proposals in on subjects you love and get paid for writing them.
Magazines are mostly online now and also accept online proposals for photos and writing samples, too. Smaller magazines or niche magazines are usually the best places to start if you want to make more money per piece you send in.
Writing is a great way to make extra cash while voicing your opinions or learning more about subjects you already love or know about!
Graphic Designer
Graphic design is a little more complicated than photography and writing, as most graphic designers have some kind of education or training. Videos found on YouTube come in handy, but most need a little more than a YouTube video to get started.
If you’re interested in art or have an art background, graphic design may come easier to you than others. Check out sites like Behance for graphic design inspiration and look for graphic design classes near you or online.

Sites like Wix, Squarespace, and even WordPress are simple to navigate and design on your own. Most of these sites have their own resources, but your best friend when building your first site (especially on WordPress) will be Google!
Website design does take more time, but it’s at a much higher price tag than other online businesses.
Social Media Management & Virtual Assistants
Social media management is as easy as curating photos and videos, often times delivered by the client, and scheduling or posting them to their social media platforms. It’s one of the easiest jobs that most business owners don’t have time to do efficiently.
Virtual assistant businesses are booming. More and more people are looking for remote assistants who can work with a reliable WiFi connection and schedule their events and meetings. Some virtual assistants even have the opportunity to travel with their clients which may give you more access to more travel destinations, too! Many virtual assistant businesses grow so quickly that you may be able to manage other assistants under your own business.
Affiliate Marketing
Affiliate marketing is a great way to go if you don’t want to have to create your own product or service but still run your own business. From software you use on a daily basis to products you love, you can reach out to brands and companies that offer affiliate marketing programs to give you a little extra cash on hand.
The easiest way to make money in affiliate marketing is to have a website or social media platform up and running prior to getting started, so keep that in mind.

For those who already have experience in graphic design or some other creative field, this may be a great way to create tangible products and sell them without having to carry around a ton of inventory as you travel.
Editor, Translator, or Transcriber
There are tons of jobs out there for people who are multilingual. Whether you are better at editing or translating, these jobs pay well and there is always a need for them. You can earn a great living just by translating documents from one language to another or transcribing audio into written words.
