Hard to Give Away “FREE” camping!

Teresa and I have been trying to help the NASCAR Campground Network grow their membership. To do so, we enlisted the help of our wonderful friends at FOOD CITY. If you live in East Tennessee, Northeast Tennessee, SW Virginia or SE Kentucky, you are quite familiar with this wonderful grocery chain.

Looking for “Parks Near Me” in Tennessee?

We decided FOOD CITY stores would hand out a rack card in their stores during Race Week until the Battle at Bristol (UT Vols vs Virginia Tech in the Bristol Motor Speedway) which will offer people a 90 Day Free Trial.

Like we said, this is FREE. Really free as they are not asking for money or a credit card. We just want people to try this new national network of campground which offer discounts at their campground, places which hold NASCAR events on race weekends, member benefits like roadside assistance and more. A real campground for NASCAR fans and camping enthusiasts.

To help in this endeavor, Teresa and I also set up a display on State Street in downtown Bristol, TN for RACE NIGHT where FOOD CITY puts on quite an event for about 60,000 race fans attending the Bristol Motor Speedway Races. We received banners from Southeast Publications, flags from the NASCAR Campground Network, rack cards and set up to begin giving away FREE 90 Day Trials. FOOD CITY put us at a great location, near the front entrance of the event and next to the Hooter’s tent. It is amazing how many people lined up to meet the local Hooter’s team in the tent next to us. That worked well as that line ended up going in front of our tent giving us time to speak with people about our FREE opportunity for campers!

What was really interesting was while offering RVers and campers this FREE opportunity, we noticed how hard it was to connect with people at first. I think we have conditioned ourselves not to look at vendors. It is like walking in the mall past some of those kiosks and people trying to hand you a free sample. We understand that. But, in this case, NASCAR Campground Network and FOOD CITY were giving campers 90 Days to try out this national campground network for FREE. No money, no credit card, just try it. If you like it, after 90 days, you can join at 50% off the annual fee of $159.95 or just $79.95.

We realized people were thinking we were offering a 90 day trial, possibly taking their credit card information and then zapping that card on the 91st day when the clock struck midnight! So, we began our best carnival barker impressions, “FREE! No credit card, no money! Just try it if you love to camp, if you love NASCAR, you will love NASCAR Campground Network!” People began stopping by to discuss their RVing or camping. The 90 days was appreciated but even more appreciated was the 50% off the annual fee if they decide to join.

We enjoyed the day, even the brief rain showers but in the end, with about 1500 people receiving this rack card to take advantage of the 90 day trial. Did we mention it is FREE? People in Northeast Tennessee can pick up the rack card in many FOOD CITY stores. They, and you reading this, can also just go to http://www.ncn-foodcity.com to check out this FREE 90 day trial to the NASCAR Campground Network with our friends at FOOD CITY. And it really is FREE! If you love NASCAR and camping, this national campground network will be something you might really like. Check it out for 90 days. No credit card. No money down. If you like it, join for 50% off thanks to this opportunity from FOOD CITY (but you can take advantage of it wherever you live).

So as the card says — Ready! Set! CAMP!!!
