Boondocking Virginia & Nevada Cities, Montana
As you folks know, Lynn & I work on the road for THE Best Company in the world!! We have made so many friends through this company, and love spending time with them, even if it is only once per year. But checking in with each other, and following each other on Facebook is another way to keep track of each other.

When we get a chance to visit a special area, we try to take that opportunity as much as we can, and recently we got that time & opportunity to visit Nevada City & Virginia City, Montana. Now I love Westerns, and everything about the old west and Lynn loves History, so this was the perfect visit. Both of these little towns are a bit of living history.

We rode the small train up and back between towns, panned for Gold (nope no Gold, but I did get a few Quartz pieces, and Lynn panned a small chip of Ruby. It was more fun, and we both could have spent more time doing this.) We visited their Living Museum, with the largest collection of nickels, or quarter operated music machines we have ever seen, it reminded me of the player piano my Grandparents had. Some of these machines are so large you wonder how they were ever transported, and especially back in the day of horse drawn wagons, when they were built! Going through the town, seeing the old wagons, the big hauling wagon, mail wagon, and the pretty little Sunday chariot, as well as he “bus” wagon to carry several passengers at one time, oh and the Ice wagon, I know I am leaving a bunch out. The Sheriff was in town, and he was telling the people in front of us his tells of catching some bad guy. (these are all volunteers that play these roles).

The day was topped off by eating at the Wells Fargo Steak House, and I am usually not a red meat eater, but this was really good, and prepared perfectly!

So when you can, visit those out of the way places that may just make your day!
Happy Trails,
Lynn & Denise Boon
