Boon-docking & Off-Roading!

Boon docking in the desert, in the middle of nowhere! It can truly be fun, if you have friends to share the activity, and I am talking about Off-Roading! Dune Buggies, Odysseys, ATC’s, 4-Wheelers, All Terrain Vehicles, or Dirt Bikes, whatever you ride, like I said it’s always more fun when you have a group.
Circling the Wagons – Yes, in our modern RV’s, we would still circle our rigs, especially with little ones around, that is their boundary, not to leave camp, unless with an adult. With a circle camp, there is one large Fire in the center, and everyone contributed, so no-one person would have to lug all the wood in.
Dinner Time with a Group – One nice thing, all us ladies, or men, if they were the cook in the family, would make arrangements ahead of time to rotate who would cook each evening. Breakfasts, and Lunches you were on your own. One time I said; “I’ll cook Chicken & Dumplings' one evening. Easy enough, especially when you cook, and prep at home before you get there. So I put the broth on the stove to cook with the last minute vegetables I put in the dish, pour into the baking dish, drop my dumplings on top, cook, served, and not until I was cleaning up, did I realize I had left out the CHICKEN from the broth! No one even noticed, so we had chicken sandwiches for the next couple of days!
