Boon docking at Jalama Beach
Do you have a favorite place you keep returning to? We did, and over a span of 20 years we frequented our favorite spot so much that all the Rangers, and the owners of the store, called us by name, and welcomed us back, each time we returned.

Jalama Beach was one of those places you could let your kids run off and play, ride their bikes, and not worry too much until they returned a couple hours later, you know, like we used to play as children, only we didn’t return until it started to get dark, and no one worried.

One thing that Jalama didn’t have was sewer hook-up, water, and very little electric hook-up, but there was a dump station, & portable water on site, so you didn’t have to drive the 14 mile windy road back to the main highway, and we always had a generator to charge the batteries. Boon docking was a fun way of saying we were somewhat primitive camping. If you call having all the finer things, like a stove, oven, shower, etc., in our RV, primitive.

Whether you Boon Dock, or go for the full hook-ups, if your Family is all happy, you are happy, whether you all go for a long walk on the beach, or in the woods, you’re spending precious time with your family, and making memories!

Happy Trails,
Lynn & Denise Boon
