A Simple RV Fix
So it has been a while since I wrote....When I started my blog I started at the beginning of our RV journey but during my break I figured out that I need to fast forward to current times because my brain is not what it used to be and I don't want to forget any of the fun details that are fresh.

We are currently sitting on a Delta flight. These seats remind me why we prefer to travel by RV. I know that as I have gotten older I have spread a bit but never thought myself fat yet in these seats I question that. We flew home for 36 hours to watch our youngest son graduate from the Fire Fighters Academy. Proud parents of an amazing young man who is dedicated to helping those in need.

Now we are heading back to Salt Lake City to pick up our home from Camping World where it spent yesterday being outfitted with the latest and greatest satellite system. My DH is a die hard Miami Dolphins fan and we learned last year that being west coast based meant he only caught a few games so we are upgrading to Direct TV so we can buy their football package that will allow him to watch all the Dolphins he can manage. Once we get the rig picked up we will be driving from Salt Lake City to Grand Junction CO for our next job.

This is another first time park for us and them, we can only hope that it will go as great as the Richfield KOA went. The city is bigger than we normally like to work at a touch over 50k but only time will tell.

I am getting more and more excited every day on our upcoming Alaska journey. I used the Trip planner to get me going from Grand Junction over to north of Denver in Greeley CO. From there it is on to Devils Tower WY before heading north to the Montana border crossing. I am sure that this will give me lots of things to talk about.

This month alone we have been able to experience our first Moab, been snowed on, rented our first RZR to explore the Paiute Trails, flown home to Orlando and back, and now on to Colorado. I know that when we started I told Jim that this would be a relaxing way to see the country and sometimes it is but it seems that no matter where I live I can't escape the need to stay moving at warp speed.

We also seem to be running into a new "issue" each time we move. While in Richfield they were going to have a power outage while we were out on the trails so we thought that it made sense to turn off the main power switch at the front door. When we came back we turned it back on but did not have any 12volts systems working. We tested the converter, the fuses, the switch, the batteries, the power transfer....and then pulled out the flashlights to eat and shower.

The next day Jim spent the morning trouble shooting while I went to work but by lunch we still did not have power. When I came home for lunch I jumped on the computer again to see if I could find anyone who had posted a similar problem. After trying several different search phrases I hit pay dirt. They had an 06 TS that did the same thing, they toggled the main power switch off/on several times and everything came back on. It seemed too simple to be true but worth a try.

After 4-5 tries we started to see lights flickering and then everything came back on. Crisis solved!!! The lesson here is that sometimes it is a simple fix to something that seems really bad.
