Camping

At Big Lake Campground, All 5 of our campgrounds can accommodate Tent Campers, and Campers with trailers or RV's. Individual campgrounds feature; a boat launch, access to swimming, potable water, restrooms, and trash receptacle. Ask about Group Camping Rates or Reserving one of the Park Pavilions for Birthday Parties or a Family gathering.




Watercraft Rentals

Big Lake is Alaska's Watersport Capital! Rent a Yamaha VX Deluxe Wave Runner by the hour or by the day at Big Lake North. These machines seat up to 3 adults and are equipped to tow inflatables!
Half and Full day Canoe rentals are available at Matanuska Lake!
  Wildlife & Bird Viewing
Our area was once covered by glaciers. As the ice receded it left behind depressions in the ground that filled with water, making the area Lakes swe see today. The lakes and bogs attract a wide variety of Wildlife and make it a natural bird nesting site and stop over for migrating birds.
